The multiplication of personalities, as seen in conditions like DID, helps compartmentalize trauma for survival but can disrupt identity and memory continuity. While it protects against overwhelming distress, it often isolates emotions and fragments the self. Therapy aims to integrate these parts by addressing root trauma and fostering cooperation among identities. However, without proper intervention, this protective mechanism can perpetuate emotional disconnection, making healing a complex and delicate process.

I think the first thing is to understand it. It is very important that if we have this aspect in ourselves, we accept it and strive for the rest of our best aspect.
