Why? tell me. Do you ever remember when you were five, and you wanted to know, why? Or did that desire to know, never left? Tell me, why?

It sounds like someone wonderful to converse with! I find his ideas on individuality especially intriguing. I get a sense he placed the betterment of everyone over the self. Not narrowing the focus to specifics, but instead encouraging for more cohesive benefits. There are deep truths to this, which are difficult to acknowledge on the surface. Thanks for sharing!

Having said this, I would imagine any proficient scientist having a difficult time being an atheist.

One is empirical, the other isn’t. One surrenders to the unknown, the other one to the known. Any scientist who clings to theories as divine truths, is not a good representation. A theory is precisely that, and that only.

An ingredient which can be perceived throughout, but one that should never be made the main focus of the dish. Otherwise becoming unbearably distasteful for everyone.

I understand. And while an important aspect, the solution must come from within. There is little incentive in educating oneself, if the expectation is for the truth to be provided. Self sufficiency should be a requirement, when outcomes are directly dependent on it. Civic education is the backbone of a democratic society.

Were living things non-living things, before existing as living things? Where would the birth of life be located on the diagram?

Language, culture, technology? It is impractically difficult to try to shift the perspective of an identity thoroughly based on a particular culture. Common cause of ethnocentrism. The Maya offered human hearts as sacrifice, because they thought the world would only continue to exist in exchange for blood.

Similar difference to a “sound producer” and a “sound engineer”. Have slightly different localized interpretations (generally credential related,) but their work can be interchangeable.

In larger societies thoughts/ideas are likely to have more external influence, increasing its heterogeneity. But culture might be closer to a medium in which we analyze behavior, rather than the conduct or subject of the analysis. Hence making the absence of culture or identity an impossibility.

I am curious! Can you expand on it? I believe much of American’s ethnic background is alive and thriving. Also, patriotism & nationalism is pretty big in the US. Love hearing about your thoughts :)

Imo, revolution is a direct byproduct of its need. It (can be incentivized, but) cannot be synthetically generated. It requires certain specific characteristics. It’s a reaction, rather than a starting action, or something that can be ‘incorporated’.

I don’t think tradition can be taken away from the human experience. But I do agree that technology increases the pace at which tradition changes. Which would be correlated to wisdom & development generating influence to abandon outdated practices aka ‘tradition’.

Hypothetically, this idea could have originated from evolutionary advantages. As our needs change, modern benefits should increase in favor.

Why be part of a ‘group’? Not literally, but figuratively. Why not be independent of thought? Since reality is not static, most certainty would come from the self.

The intersection of human history, their ideas & behavior, with visionaries, and creators of the future. The infrastructure lends itself to more problem-solving/insight-based discussions. But some of the crypto aspects incentivize interaction with little depth.
