We humans (homo sapiens) co-existed with other human species (neanderthals, denisovans) for ~10,000 years Homo sapiens thrived because we were more adaptable, more connected, and created better tools It's conceivable that this same split could happen with AI - a divergence between those of us who embrace and integrate it in our lives and those who reject it In a sense it's already been happening - there are those of us who live offline, and that population is tiny in comparison to those online
