Happy to hear this. Are you doing a car ride before bed or for a needed nap time? My son definitely benefits from a nap in the day and the car ride usually works in not letting him get overtired to where he's fighting his sleep at night.

How old? Mine is a year and a half and I do a lot of play wrestling with him when I get home from work, a bath then hopefully some reading. Very little screen time the last hour before he knocks out. I don't think this schedule will be forever though but we'll keep consistency of any sort as long as it works.

The beach was a drag for me until I realized it was bringing a whole set up and staying all day the way my family did for years was what I didn't like. I went with just a towel, a small ice chest with drinks and sandwiches and it was fine. Took a nap, got in in the water and left three hours later.

"Movies are dead" "tickets are too expensive" rhetoric is being pushed around as AMC grows. So Furiosa might not perform well, but Planet of the Apes, Godzilla vs Kong, the Spider-man Trilogy, and Dune part 2 dominated for the last three months. Movies are fine.

I only complain about state testing to mask the fact that I secretly enjoy not having to plan for an hour out of my day with my students. It's low key an hour break if I do it right.

I resisted earbuds for so long. Always had been a headphone guy...until my son at a year old started crying with every inch of my being making my ears buzz. It didn't take long after that for me to buy a pair.
