One odd observation: I'm now irritated that I can't use my hands to control my laptop. I know leap motion explored hand control, but would be cool to have a modern device for it.

I can see myself using it semi-regularly to augment my many other screen devices. As it gets incrementally better in the next 5 years, I expect it’ll become the default way that I work (in place of being hunched over a laptop) or staring at a monitor.

But it’s not the replacement for a mobile device. It’s a high end product for always online types. Because those are the limits of the tech today. Glasses aren’t possible.

To me, the Vision Pro shows what is going to be possible for VR in the next 5-10 years. The answer? Spatial computing. Somewhat bulky. It’s a different form factor of a laptop, phone or tablet, with some niceties, like giant screens and better immersion.

There could definitely be some cool features built around this, things such as anonymous polling for protecting user privacy. Probably you need a way to check the fid <> sig mapping, this could be done with a proof against the farcaster contracts.

Imagine if r/wallstreetbets had the ability to anonymously prove you owned the stocks you were shilling to the crowd. Is that interesting? It feels like a powerful collective action/coordination mechanism.

private blockchains are obviously useful. it's a shame we haven't been able to make them work with an acceptable ux & dx tradeoffs. hopefully aztec mainnet cracks this
