This is the social scoring system that @deployer is using to determine HAM allowances in tandem with 100k tn100x or HAM nfts (as I understand it)

Degen allowances are determined by OpenRank.  Airstack is different.

Not saying one is better than the other. Just different.

This is only one factor which determines your ham score and its weighted lower than some others. 

The goal is a balanced Ham score taking in various data points.

Yeah I should have mentioned it was 1 of a few factors.

I don't think it's a bad thing.  Anywhere you can inplace a quality filter is a win in my book.
