Moon rise in Pangong
In the east, the horizon was awash in vibrant hues of orange and yellow, the last vestiges of daylight painting the rugged landscape in a warm glow. I framed my shot, eyes scanning the sky for any sign of the moon’s arrival.
Then, slowly, the full moon began to rise, its pale orb emerging majestically from behind the silhouetted peaks. But just as it cleared the ridgeline, a violent wind storm erupted, sending my belongs rocking back and forth. I gripped the camera tightly, trying to steady the framing as I fired off a rapid series of exposures.
As the last vestiges of daylight faded, I reluctantly began packing up my gear. Though the conditions had been far from ideal, I knew I had managed to capture some truly stunning images - a testament to the dramatic beauty of Pangong Lake under the light of a full moon, even in the face of a raging Himalayan storm 💜 1 reply
