👏 Yeah this one feels good the more I reflect on it.

The only unaddressed concern, for me, is correlating multiple accounts into a single "identity" and later orphaning them as "no longer part of this identity". 

That serves use cases beyond just account migration, though, so warrants a separate ERC/EIP.

Is de-correlation possible? Definitely sounds like a different issue/goal to me.

De-correlation as in: “I don’t live here anymore, stop sending mail to this address.”

Messaging might have been the wrong metaphor to reach for. Was thinking more about chain analysis for snapshots, etc

But also maybe there’s appropriate tools for each job.

I’d probably argue that alternative patterns like claim-links can obviate the need for using addresses as an inbox, so messaging channels can be a separate concern.
