Coinbase has launched https://www.coinbase.com/en-gb/blog/coinbase-wrapped-btc-cbbtc-is-now-live cbBTC, a wrapped token backed by BTC on the Ethereum and Base networks. Justin Sun had this to say about cbBTC: "cbBTC has no Proof of Reserve, is unaudited, and can freeze anyone's balance at any time. It's basically just "trust me." Any subpoena from the US government could confiscate all your BTC. There's no better representation of Bitcoin's central bank than this. It's a black day for BTC."
