it’s not about content or people… those are two sides of the same coin & we don’t get more of those coins until the ecosystem & frame hub materialize & the flywheel backfills we already used up our allotment & they left so it’s no longer about people or “interesting content;” it now about good tech that captures attention & spins outward into a meta then more people come; THEN we get more content i don’t know why we continue to look at a crypto-native social-first platform as a “social network that normal people are going to use one day” they are not & it is not; it’s a CRYPTO-NATIVE PLATFORM that is social-FIRST; NOT social as a core value prop it’s about crypto, devs, tech & markets that much is made abundantly clear right from the sign-up funnel & as result, 90%+ of normal people will never cross that bridge further the 10% that do will immediately get hit with suggested follows… who are all crypto people… so if crypto is not their cup of tea, they are done day 1

they are NOT here for content NO news breaks here (we have like 2 journalists...); the academics churned; the “influencer” group is stale; the artists are on rodeo or zora; the thinkbois are on x; even the people who built communities here in feb/march have churned because there is no distribution in other words, much of our CRYPTO TAM has ALREADY came here & left so how do we get them back? i assure you it is NOT through highlighting more of the SAME content that caused them to call us “linkedin” in the first place it is done through fringe tech & economic alignment… JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE IN CRYPTO you do not get millions of revved up, money hungry, pfp-using autists excited by sharing sacagawea quotes on resilience you get them excited by pushing the boundaries & narratives of the space & inviting them into the possibilities of changing the world that has absolutely nothing to do with content unless we’re talking about tokenomics or other technicalities that they find exciting

that starts with leaning HEAVY into turing this place into a dev playground i’ve said this before & i’ll say it again: devs should NEVER churn from fc; every dev in the space SHOULD WANT to be here they should ALWAYS take priority over any “influencer”-type yapping about “content” there are no more than a few thousand of us here… so i’m not really sure who we’re even influencing at this point… the focus NEEDS to be on the tech & the ecosystem that it spurs, which in turn will bring in more people, more devs, more projects AND THEN more content this notion that we’re building ten years out, or that we’re in our early facebook days is ludicrous 3 years into launch no more than this notion that we shouldn’t invest in the devs here’s today because they’re just generating “hype” that will “fade away in a few months” anyway is this really how we look at our devs? do we really not realize how much we need frames to grow? or apps? or tokens? or an ecosystem?

we do not have ten years… this is not 2007… and this not a first-mover social platform with an entire collegial tam it is a NICHE CRYPTO platform that LARGELY RESEMBLES every other social platform on the market right now—outside of the NICHE CRYPTO angles that not even CT understands because we don’t talk about them further, when was the last time you checked in with the brain rot consoomer? attention spans are gone; distractions are omnipresent; no code is here… ten years? we don’t even have ten minutes; not to mention most of our tam has already made up their minds so really we don’t even have 10 seconds… and to not back the builders here today because your quasi values are telling you they’re just hype is OUTRAGEOUS you are lucky they are idealists; because they certainly are not here for distribution so continue to write them off as if more devs will just backfill their spots next year, as is current devs haven’t already been forced to x to even compete

you’ve heard me talk about the downstream multiplier effect that degen provided degen had NOTHING to do with content yet degen was the most daus we’ve ever seen; the most write ups fc has ever gotten; the most community incubations seen to date… and what come from that? new projects. new people. new content. NEW NETWORK GROWTH it boggles my mind that folks can even argue about this, when the proof is quite literally in the numbers… it takes very little to properly highlight our builders and with a trove of capital, there is absolutely no reason why 1% or even less should be allocated towards doing so that, or we can just continue to argue about content & culture, which has NO SIGNIFICANT VALUE in growing the platform as we’ve SEEEN time & time again BOTH of those things come LATER fc is NOT, by any means, a “normal social network” & therefore content is NOT the engine we cannot survive with one foot in the door it’s time to LEAN IN to our STRENGTHS
