The risk of faith is that, to the world, it seems foolish. The proof of faith is its expression manifested in love as man chooses to be dependent on love. Love here is not some noble emotion or something that “feels good”. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV) God’s love IS Jesus, and it’s a moment-by-moment dependence on Him which is the foolish faith that can radically change the way we live.
