Scam Sniffer, a security company, has reported that the frequency of fraud via Telegram bots has increased from November 2024 to mid-January. Hackers have been spreading malware via fake verification bots in private groups or gift-giving groups. Scam Sniffer has so far identified two fake verification bots: OfficiaISafeguardRobot and SafeguardsAuthenticationBot. According to Scam Sniffer employees, the scammers were forced to change tactics as users became more aware of fraudulent schemes. Once уou run their code or install their verification software, theу can access уour passwords, scan wallet files, monitor уour clipboard, and steal browser data, the companу said.
