Binance seeks 34% increase in compliance staff by year-end

Binance, the world's largest digital currency exchange, has announced that it expects to increase the number of full-time employees in its compliance department to 645 by the end of the year. 

This is a 34% increase compared to last November. Including contractors, this exchange currently has more than 1,000 employees in the compliance department. 

Binance's intense focus on legal compliance began after it paid a $4.3 billion fine to US regulators last year. Richard Teng, the new CEO of Binance, emphasizes on making the exchange a model of legal compliance.
