"Papan Tinggi Cemetery" is an old Islamic History cemetery complex located on a hill precisely in the Pananggahan Village area, North Barus District, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. The tombs in Papan Tenggi Cemetery consist of 5 tombs, one of which is a tomb that is about 7 meters long, and the height of the tombstone is about 1.5 meters, while the other 4 tombs are adjacent to the main tomb, which is about 1.5 meters long, the tombstone is made of stone that is upright without any markings at all.

The local community often calls it Makam Papan Tinggi Barus, another name in Indonesian is Makam Papan Tinggi. To reach the tomb area, we have to walk about 100 meters from the highway to the foot of the hill, when we arrive at the foot of the hill, we have to climb the stairs to get to the top of the hill, there are hundreds of stairs that must be passed to get to the top of the hill, at least there are about 710 stairs. The hill is located to the east of the road between Barus and Manduamas.
