Buenos Aires woke up on Saturday to graffiti and posters about Milei, with words like crypto-chanta, a neologism where "chanta" in Argentina means a scammer.

The country’s biggest newspapers now feature columns explaining crypto vocabulary: rugpull, pump and dump, and more. But there’s no mention of decentralization or permissionless.

The Argentina crypto community, which mostly builds on ETH, feels a mix of shame and frustration over the lost opportunity. A single tweet raised billions under the promise of supporting small businesses in Argentina, only to end in disappointment.

Moving forward, the focus must be on continuing to build a culture rooted in the ethos that brought us here.
