Why: 
- Curation is important. We believe Farcaster is great because of its well curated community. Dan basically did the curation by handpick who is cool or nice to be part of it early on. He also yelled at ppl who misbehaved.
- We reach the point where Dan can no longer do that manually effectively
- DegenCast is onchain curation via tokenomics such that ONLY good content and good Channels get highlighted

What & How:
- it's a way of highlighting banger content via a tokenomics game because I propose to convert the cast into a collectible with a DEGEN deposit. You or anybody could reject it and I would lose my DEGEN. So that ppl is incentivised to only propose good stuff. 
- if the cast is converted to a mintable successfully, every mint would generate fees for channel host, cast author and the curator.
- mintable metadata is permanently stored on Arweave blockchain forever because Farcaster don't
- ultimately the cast is also tradable on Uniswap
