You ever consider using IPFS/Filecoin or Arweave? Thought?

Arweave for simple cases such as NFT media. It’s free and requires no maintenance afterwards. IPFS for more advanced ones, like storage layer for an app. It’s much more powerful and useful for anything nontrivial.

IPFS / IPNS has so much potential for p2p content addressable storage with self-custody and avoiding cloud providers, although pinning services take a step back in the direction IMO. Downfall is building consumer apps with it is limited out of the box, as pending requests may never get a response

Have used IPFS to host a website. The idea was to create a website that could be easily downloaded and run by others. The dev experience was terrible though, since every website update became a huge pain. IPFS is fine for finalized things (aside from terrible latency)

I have. IPFS feels easier, less bloated to me. But I used Arweave for an NFT collection I created 2 yrs ago, because I liked the idea of pay-once-store-forever for the artworks.
