Today we're excited to unveil another automation option for @curve's CurveUSD lending protocol:

Introducing: Automated hard liquidation protection.

Hard liquidation in CurveUSD is possible if the position's Health Ratio falls to 0%.

Users can now set a trigger Health Ratio value (e.g. 10%) and the amount of $crvUSD (e.g. 10k) to be automatically paid back from their EOA.

This is a continuous automated strategy.🔁

Let's assume the following auto-payback setup for a CurveUSD position:
- Payback 10k $crvUSD if HR <= 10%.

With 25k $crvUSD in wallet, the strategy will trigger up to three times (each time HR hits the 10% threshold):
- 10k, 10k, 5k.

At the moment of triggering, if the $crvUSD amount in EOA is lower than the configured payback amount, the strategy will use all available $crvUSD for debt repayment.

If there is no $crvUSD, or if the payback amount exceeds 50% of gas cost, the strategy will not be executed.

Requirements:

- Position needs to be on a Smart Wallet.
- Minimum position debt size: 30k $crvUSD.
- Minimum payback amount: 5k $crvUSD.

Currently available CurveUSD automated options now include:

1. Automated Leverage Management (auto-Boost & auto-Repay).
2. Hard liquidation protection (auto-payback from wallet).

CurveUSD has introduced a new concept of soft liquidations with a goal of lowering liquidation losses during a market downturn.

Hard liquidation, however, comes after soft liquidation price ranges and still poses a risk of losing collateral and experiencing a significant loss.
