Futura - literally translates as THE FUTURE 

Meanwhile:
Helvetica: - Switzerland (so cheese and clocks)
Comic Sans - funny without (yup)
Garamond - surname of a French dude who died about 500 years ago

futura is dead similar to the hope of flying cars at the worlds fair whoever named futura with the future in mind, was wrong

I think you may be mistaken. Both Futura and flying cars but clearly evident.
