In this piece we are taking another trip back in time to Athens, Greece and this time to 360 BC to explore Plato's dialogue Timaeus.

Word. 11 - // Timaeus

Central to Timaeus' account is the idea that the physical world is composed of geometric shapes called The Platonic solids, and the universe is described as a balanced combination of the geometric solids. These geometrical balanced solids are arranged in proportion to maintain stability and harmony.

At the heart of "Timaeus" is the idea that the Demiurge (the divine craftsman) brings order to the chaos of the material world. Before creation, the universe was a chaotic, disorderly state. The Demiurge imposes balance, harmony and structure, reflecting the eternal order of the Forms.
