the more i think about it @alexpaden is onto something with using Cursor to do writing. at the end of the day it's just an app that tightly integrates with an easy interface for system prompts (Cursor rules) and a built up knowledge base (codebase)

to me that means there's lots of room to build a Cursor for writing

The value of writing in Cursor, for me, lies in creating collections of short essays that each capture a focused topic or idea. These are paired with ‘workflow’ or ‘template’ files—modular prompts that can be applied to existing writing to surface new insights or even generate full essays, system architectures, or code. I enjoy building a growing text corpus this way.

A workflow.md might include prompts like:
•  ‘What am I missing in (all context)?’
•  ‘Given my writing in (business strategy folder), does it intersect meaningfully with (new product idea essay)?
