I was skeptical, but 3 body problem is v. good. 

first episode is a bit weak, but picks up quickly.

Thoroughly enjoyed. 
Some plot holes but overall very good and season 2 is setup well

I just finished episode 5 (no spoilers) but so far I've actually noticed some of the plot holes that irritate me most from the books are well sealed up on the show. Still, lots of tiny science annoyances, but it's a *wild* ride. Way better than expected IMO.
