Bancor's AMM was overly complicated though, they had stacks of integral tables baked directly into their contract. Uniswap was the first x*y=k AMM, which was way simpler and made fees way lower. Also the factory letting anyone deploy an exchange, and being bound to ETH rather than the Bancor token was a huge win. Not really a fork.
