I was just standing beside someone who ordered a literal soy latte. I think until this point I didn't even realize that soy lattes exist as an actual drink; my mind only recognized the term "soy latte" as a standardized culture war slur that the opposite tribe sometimes uses against my archetype.

Soy is basically the only plant based milk with any protein, it has a ton of it, and the amino profile is nearly perfect. It's cheap, and non-perishable when sealed. Wild how people have drifted away from it in recent years. There's coffee shops in my area that have oat, hemp, rice, coconut, but they don't carry soy anymore 🤷

Every other plant based milk is basically pure sugar water, and some vitamins if you're lucky.

I'll give it another shot because of your pitch. I love the rich texture of oat milk. I largely have the milk in my coffee to make it gentler on the stomach, and the fat matters more for that than the protein.
