"Government" is literally just a power structure a society comes up with to do all the stupid shit they don't want to do to themselves. Even in the US it's 100% controlled by voters. Treating it like some external independent (adversarial?) entity makes no sense.

IMO we're all just here building our toy micro-governments and squishing them together to see what works and what doesn't. The idea that governance is inherently bad/untrustworthy seems antithetical.
