It can lead to some pretty dark, decelerating things as well. Billions are currently being spent in the US to build weapons for destroying Chinese infrastructure and people, and it's super gross. Less weapons, more infrastructure. We can all build for a better future. There really are enough resources for everyone.

yeah, unfortunately that's a glaring agent-principle problem, also doesn't help that Africa is intercontinentally downrange. in military doctrine, domain superiority is often stated, and it is imperative cypherpunks and accpunks inform the global public that racing to build positive-sum infrastructure is the only path of least resistance to superiority over the lightcone of civilization. the incentive is not culturally compatible with some solarpunk ideals, granted, but again I want to stress that this is already an agent-principle inevitability.
