Amrita Srivastava, a senior Binance employee based in London, testified at an employment tribunal that she was fired after raising concerns about the bribery incident. Srivastava said the colleague took the money “under the guise of providing consultative services” to track the customer’s integration into Binance, while pretending not to be affiliated with the company. The colleague has since left Binance, the report reads.

Phantom Wallet has expanded to Coinbase-developed Ethereum layer-2 network Base as a part of its multi-chain expansion plans. After rolling out beta support for Base last month, Phantom announced on Nov. 25 that the integration is now live, enabling all users to interact with the Base ecosystem. The latest expansion is significant as Base is currently the largest Layer 2 blockchain by total value locked and the sixth largest among all blockchains.

The challenge for jurisdictions, such as the United Kingdom, that are keen to grow their digital assets sectors is to develop a regulatory framework that supports this growth while ensuring sufficient protections are in place for investors—particularly retail investors. Developing such a regime takes time and careful consideration from the regulators, but no jurisdiction can afford to stand still—particularly while the American question remains unanswered.
