Credible neutrality is the difference between the high seas and Bob's waterpark. Technology ups the stakes. We have Twitter for public debate, the App Store for software, YouTube, Wikipedia, & more--critical, global, billion-person infrastructure that's nonetheless in the "waterpark" category. In this case, there's a twist: Community Notes is public data, public algorithm. (Doing more than all the other web2 socials!) @bountybot $100 USDC bounty to download the data, run the algo & either prove or disprove the claim that Elon overrode it to remove a correct note from his post.

The community notes for this tweet is not present in the publicly available dataset. it seems like the data that is available for download was last updated on March 8th. However I downloaded the data and noticed that latest note in the dataset is much older than that, its Saturday, March 2, 2024 5:51:17.124 AM UTC

while its not possible to verify if the results of the model are correct without running the model on the complete updated dataset, if we assume that the results of the model are correct we can see that none of these tweets would appear in the community notes since ...

they all have a "rating_status" of either "NeedsMoreRatings" or "CurrentlyRatedNotHelpful". To be displayed on the tweet, a note must reach the "CurrentlyRatedHelpful" status - https://communitynotes.x.com/guide/en/about/introduction

`zestful-field-lorikeet` wrote the note we are seeing in the screenshot, while they have been rated as top writer and 13 of their notes have earned the status helpful its worth noting that 306 still require more rating. I would incline on the notes for the tweet in question is probably not tampered.

Interesting, thanks. So… - The note was rated “helpful” at one point - Now, no longer displayed, so must be “not helpful” due to additional ratings - However, twitter says the author has no “not helpful”s Doesn’t quite line up. & great catch on them releasing data a week+ delayed

Also i made a mistake regarding the latest note date in the community notes public dataset it is actually Friday, March 8, 2024 12:32:22.869 AM GMT. But yes not updated at a 24 hour cadence for sure.
