I never liked Notion, but they're extra dead to me now that they bought Skiff just to kill it. Privacy tech is important, and burning down companies like Skiff is pretty gross.

They didn’t “buy skiff just to kill it”. My read is that Skiff died from lack of pmf and Notion gave the team a soft landing

I was a skiff user. Many of my friends were skiff users. We were paying customers, supporting a good product that helped to keep people safe. Now it's dead.

Their mistake, like everyone else, was accepting VC money that cared more about extracting value from users than actually building tools to help people.
