The most obvious application of AI I haven't seen shipped is a keyboard that lets you type extremely fast and magically corrects all the mistakes. This feels like a GPT2 level task. No fancy mechawordcel needed, just a decent local language model with the lowest possible latency. Has anyone built this?

(It can be a software keyboard ofc. Inference on recent phones and macs is probably fast enough. No new device needed.)

Given the capability of recent phones and Macs, do you think existing hardware is sufficient to support a software keyboard with real-time AI inference for fast typing and error correction, or are there still technical challenges to overcome?
