the fallacy was in assuming there are rules which one can follow which guarantee success everything is dynamic at all times, now more than ever rather than seek to blame others, work to be more dynamic & relevant for a range of possible outcomes there are no guarantees in life

btw, i was given plenty of bad advice growing up i ignored a lot of it, but tried to listen to what was good you can’t assume prior generations know exactly what will guarantee success for future generations in fact, they’re often completely wrong

Hard to be dynamic like that as an 18 year old whose parents (and educational system, and society, etc) coerced you into thinking the only avenue to success is going deep into debt for an almost useless degree Not saying that was my case necessarily, but so many of my generation fell for that sham
