one small point about the jan 6 stuff...it wasnt just about the rioting, it was more about the lying and sowing distrust in the democratic process. this was a pretty onesided issue. balaji might argue that dems are sowing distrust now by talking about replacing biden, but a) this is arguably democratic as leaders are responding to the voice of the electorate and b) i dont think nearly as bad as the knockon effects of convincing millions of people that our elections are fraudulent
