Depends on who cooks it and which state you're eating it in. It's a lot like Mexican food. If you eat outside of Texas, it sucks.

Some of the best Central American and Mexican food I've ever encountered was at roadside stands and gas stations in Virginia, just last year! It's gotta be upsetting to smell what's cooking when you don't know what to order & can't read the menu bc you got a 'D' in HS Spanish I.

Changing the food on the table to Mexican food is about 100x less offensive than using the iconography itself to deconstruct and morph it into the feast of dionysus and subsequent orgy. I still think lacking reverance for the form of an icon will make us forget it.

Pizza is a product of American people. It was inspired by where they came from. But pizza as we know it today is an American food that was created by people who were proud to be here. I could flip your argument to say that Tex-Mex is Mexican food. You’d get stoned for that.
