We're actively working on Permissionless Distribution of Apps at MetaMask and have crafted a CAIP to introduce a standardized data framework based on web of trust. If you're keen to explore this further, you can have a look at the proposal and at our ongoing experimentation

So is this how Farcaster currently manages data storage? Media is stored in IPFS, with CIDs tracked on Farcaster owned servers? And texts and links are stored on Farcaster servers as well, right?

So what’s next? 1) We've established a chain-agnostic standard for community-powered trust assessment; 2) We've launched an experimentation of a dApp store based on community curation; Now, our focus turns to testing our web of trust mechanism with a series of Sybil attacks and simulating various other scenarios!
