BTW the nouns sofubi will be with us at all 3 Super Festivals right next to the Budokan alongside the plush, and we will produce all on our own dime, that's 100% happening regardless.

the vote has started! Thank you for your time, regardless. This prop is based on a design which sold out over a weekend (was supposed to last one month) at a higher rate than what Uglydoll sells at per this location, and if passed, will focus on Japan first, then Taiwan, Korea and USA after.

The goal isn't awareness, but for an increasing number of new people to draw nouns inwards into their daily life. We have done this with our own brands, just as other lifestyle character brands have, by using plush as a mechanism of discovery, leading the subconscious to the larger program. ⌐◨-◨

Sanrio is not in the toy business. The reason the plush is usually front and center is to create an opportunity for you to hold the brand in your hand and create a connection. It is surrounded by the other components of the program, typically comprised of things that are useful in daily life, so that you immediately make the subconscious realization that this is not a toy or a collectible you put on a shelf, but a brand to bring inwards and make part of your life. The plush is a mechanism to draw you closer and then to hopefully make a connection: it’s the point of first culture contact, first impression, the beginning of a relationship quite literally. Same thing with Snoopy, Totoro, moomin , Miffy, Uamou, Pusheen, and our own work. We have sold millions of pieces of plush over the years, but we are not in the toy business. (the prop explains I will be supplying the bags on my own dime, and the hope is to open up shelf space overtime for other noun creators, who like to work in the real world)

If I receive mostly down votes or abstain, I am just as appreciative. It means nouns is working. When I first encountered the protocol in its first week, I saw it as the potential Uber to the taxi of the legacy media driven Licensing character world I’ve been in for two decades. I love the old system, and the part which drives Sanrio and Snoopy still works brilliantly, but it needs some shaking up on the Hollywood side. When the founders invited me to participate in what they called “studio one” I was thrilled. I consider that prop to be a success. Some may misunderstand what the purpose was: that’s on me for poor communication, how I expressed previous frustrations, or very well may be not what the majority wishes for nouns. Which means nouns working and I appreciate it. You still took time out of your day regardless. The tail end of my three years here saw success and presented an opportunity- and that’s why I’m here now .

A good example of what a noun’s character brand shop would ultimately look like in Japan. It took Uamou about 10 years to earn this in culture and now lines wrap around the block in several countries. Our prop dreams to open such shelf space for other creators and bring as many new people.

Please ask any questions here! My studio one prop with nouns years ago was upon invitation from the founders to introduce nouns to Hollywood: from Illumination and Imagine, Netflix and DreamWorks to the producers of Ice Age, Garfield, and Despicable Me (he loved it, all in, as was CAA), Mattel, Lego, playmobil and others. Our conversations with Illumination continued well into 2023. The pain point was cost, and deemed too much of the treasury would have gone to one single effort. Nouns Sofubi was part of that prop, and that worked wonderfully, which presented the plush opportunity we have today.

Please ask any questions here. Pictured: 2022 marui Shinjuku reveal where the nouns Sofubi was first for sale, (featuring the top creators in Japan Japan ) and 2023 LOFT Ginza where two fully painted versions were for sale. While the soft vinyl was a smaller portion of the studio one prop which I was invited by the founders to lead, and focused on introductions to Hollywood, the soft vinyl was an enormous success, and served its purpose - the original reason for these existing worked brilliantly.

Prop 638 is up, with notes from our previous version reflected in the focus (we start with Japan first) and I have added details for greater context. Note: Image heavy and slow to load. Thank you all for your input!

plush is the mechanism which makes the connection and leads your subconscious to understand: This is a brand to draw inwards towards your life - rather than a “collectible.” This is the world the nouns plush will enter. These images are aimed at adults, and not collectors.

Revised candidate up for questions! Major difference is we will focus on Japan first in response to previous cost concerns. Lengthens the time frame but same goal. Thank you! Nouns: I like the original front page page. I wouldn’t touch a thing other than remove outdated links and replace them with a direct single click to where the community primarily resides. There can be a link to more detail in regards to the rabbit holes to go down, but that front page is so crucial. It says hello.

In 10 years Uamou went from zero to a competitor of Snoopy and Moomin, and may live as long. Uamou fans made the brand part of their lives, and it was all their doing, without pursuit of their attention- they line up in Comic-Con numbers around the world. Nouns can achieve this.

in Japan we mostly sold bags, but the plush brought you over and started you on the idea of carrying us around. Well... the bags are back. 2025年前半
