earth day reminder: we can’t decarbonize without nuclear energy. solar and wind are essential—but intermittent. batteries help—but still expensive. nuclear is our only scalable, 24/7 clean energy source where the pent fuel contained and managed. zero emissions, minimal land footprint and, reliable baseload power. the future is bright for nuclear energy at scale with much more hardwork and things to learn ahead. keep going! writings here: https://substack.com/@davidtphung

Couldn’t agree more. If we’re serious about a sustainable future, nuclear has to be part of the conversation. It’s not about choosing one source over another it’s about building a balanced, resilient energy mix that actually works long-term.

There are some issues with nuclear energy: It's very expensive and time-consuming to build a nuclear power plant. It takes decades. Levelized cost of electricity is highest for nuclear energy. There is currently no safe storage of nuclear waste. It needs to be safe for thousands of years... And of course safety, if there is an accident, terrorist attack, ... Idk... using one of the most powerful forces in the universe just to heat water sounds a little too much
