The process of releasing music is trending in the wrong direction. What playlists am I going to get on? How many tiktok videos do i need to make? Artists are spending more time marketing than making music.

An A&R at Virgin was telling us this in a meeting we had with him last week. He said he would love for things to be all about musicians making music, but unfortunately the system he's a part of just doesn't allow for that to happen anymore.

Definitely. After comparing the work I've been putting in on Sound, versus what some of my friends and I have been making on streaming platforms, they wanna join the onchain movement. It'll be great for them too because they have much bigger fan bases than I do at the moment
