In the eerie, otherworldly twilight, a girl sat on a worn chesterfield couch, its once luxurious leather now damp and mottled with mildew. The couch was incongruously situated in the middle of a dark, stagnant lake, its surface shimmering with an unnatural sheen that hinted at the eldritch forces at play. The air was thick with an oppressive fog, curling around her like spectral fingers. She sat motionless, her eyes wide and unblinking, reflecting the faint, ghastly glow emanating from beneath the murky waters. Her long, raven-black hair clung to her pale skin, and her delicate white dress was stained with the lake's inky residue. Beneath the surface, shadows twisted and writhed, hinting at monstrous shapes lurking just out of sight. Occasionally, a grotesque, tentacled limb would breach the water, sending ripples that lapped menacingly against the couch. The girl's breathing was shallow, her chest rising and falling with a rhythm that betrayed her inner terror.

In that moment, breathes one last time, the world falls silent.
