Political conscience emerges from meaningful dialogue, not the other way around. We need to start talking, and keep talking to one another, especially in communal settings, for any resemblance of democracy to be viable. Right now we are not. And no, social media doesn't count.

Our techno-utopianist, materialist and scientificist education turns kids into sharp weapons, but lousy swordsmen. Brilliant minds, but lost souls. Look at Elon. I only realized this at 25 after college on my first meditation retreat. Socio-emotional education is a start, but we need deep meaning making skills.

Jeez, after a two month social media break it's clear Twitter's algorithm has gotten so much worse. So much shitty/triggering/emotionally or politically charged content that I didn't sign up for. Most people underestimate the effects on their sensemaking capacity and overall wellbeing. NOT GOOD.
