Building ponder.sh. EVM, TypeScript, open-source enjoyer.

This reminds of me a time when I worked for a fintech firm and was given the task to improve "performance" of a consumer front end.

It took around 7-8 seconds to first paint, and we wanted to drop it to 1-2 seconds. After a few days of digging, I found the culprit.

It was a 6 second timeout left in the codebase for "demoing loading state purposes". It was in production for quite a while.

Safe to say, after removing that line, performance markedly improved.
