I've been reminding myself for the past 2 months not to put any trust in influencers. But I did believe in the words from those decently funded projects, considering there should have been some credibility and potential fud if they did something sketchy.

But the IONET fiasco was such a shit show🤡wouldn't imagine if a web2 startup with hundreds and millions of $ worth of FDV would just straight up change their policy when it suits them without ANY consequences.

Still, from this perspective it's still just myself to be blamed because addy binding ain't nothing...and considering their decision on checking SOL txns I should have known...

...cuz I was wondering "why tf would they Check txns when it's a depin project? EVM users would ofc use their fresh empty SOL address and that's completely normal". SHOULD HAVE KNOWN NORMAL LOGIC IS NOT PRIORITY. If it's a potential strategy to filter out Sybils, you should have seen it and done that to secure the bag.

Well if that's the case then before snapshot even if I saw nothing about SOL tons I should have done it. But still never would I ever imagine a project this big would label KYCed participants as Sybils...but I guess, again, that's the farmer's perspective.

Projects are now willing to go full-on scammer mode to secure their bags and I guess instead of hustling all day clicking, it's just better to slow down a bit and ask myself what would I do if I were a founder of a multimillion startup that can suck my users dry. I can cash out any time I want so idgaf about fud.

Thought about what I should have done in this scenario tho🧐guess I could have binded the address to Galxe even though it's clearly stated in the doc that it's not necessary, but that would circle back to the contradiction of why I would believe this project to begin with.
