Are there any guidelines / best practices around posting data in new clients? i.e. If users are posting additional attributes about their profiles in my client, am I writing that in a private database or is there some onchain way that I should be making that available?

I’d like to release an information product as a public good rather than as a commercial good. I don’t want to monetize with advertisements. I don’t want to reap profits but I do want to be paid for the time to create the product. Does anyone know of any funding options out there for something like this?
