According to French media, Durov was detained as part of a preliminary investigation linked to a lack of proper moderation on the Telegram platform, which authorities believe has allowed criminal activity to flourish. Durov, who was traveling from Azerbaijan aboard his private jet, was taken into custody and is expected to face court soon. Telegram has not yet issued any comments regarding the arrest.
