The internet didn’t have marketing. AOL and Microsoft did though. L2s, and more importantly Paymasters with Account Abstraction, open up ways for companies to abstract away the tech, *and* profit from the access to the tech. That’s how open standards grow.

L2s are the best way for megacorps to embed onchain functionality into their existing products. Some day, every major consumer tech product - Sony PlayStation included - will have onchain inside, and it'll all be powered by Ethereum L2s.

Coinbase has an excellent first mover advantage as a megacorp building an L2 and vertically integrating with their existing resources and customers. They won't be the last. In fact, the more successful Base is, the more other megacorps watching are likely to accelerate plans.

I'm a huge fan of Bittensor. But people saying that all of Crypto AI should be a Bittensor subnet are missing the point. It's like saying every tech product should be made by Google. IMO, this stems from a too-narrow view of the Crypto AI opportunity—it's much, much bigger.

I watched Kyle's 20-min talk titled, "Why SOL will flip ETH". Here's my review, I call it "Why SOL will never flip ETH". Suggest you either don't watch the talk or read my review first so you can take a shot every time he says some B.S. but please don't die of alcohol poisoning.
