Man, TypeScript is WHACK. Totally one-shot nerd-sniped me for the entire day.

This is the closest I was able to get while preserving the type parameter + conditional structure I was going for, but I still feel like I can do better:

• the `type` property of `From` should ideally be defined once, like I do in `To` using an `&` intersection

• `function` overloading feels like a hack; should ideally be an arrow function with a type parameter to keep DRY

• the conditionals in `transform` apparently aren't comprehensive enough so I’m forced to either omit the final conditional statement or put a useless fallback object that matches the function signature
