Before I came to know him for Manim, 3Blue1Brown, and his calculus explainers on Khan Academy, I once attended Grant Sanderson’s lecture at Stanford SPLASH! as a middle schooler.

He was explaining higher-order dimensions and how if we 3D beings were somehow able to enter the 2D world of PAC-MAN, he would only be able to see 2D slices of us.

No math teacher anyone’s ever had has ever come close to this guy when it comes to making abstract mathematical ideas concrete.

Wikipedia, YouTube, and ChatGPT are the only truly great mass edtech.

Also, I had a very forward-looking math teacher in middle school who put me on Brilliant and Khan Academy. From then on I could never look at traditional education in quite the same way. ✌️

Sounds like they really shaped your trajectory. I would have killed for those tools when I was younger. 

Begged and pleaded with the only computer teacher at my school to teach me programming, but found out later they didn't even really know how.
