Forcing myself to try and build a solid frame with just HTMX, CSS, a lil JS, and Go as web server. I see vercel/next/react in a github frame repo and I think "...I don' think I need that much power for an html server thooo" Am I misguided? 🤡

Not at all! Pioneering a SvelteKit-based frame myself. Never hurts to have more tech stack diversity around here.

I was listening to this podcast with the founder of HTMX: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2XtKcuwXms8oNa4hWmBzoG?si=4f77092568dc430e And they basically were of the vibe that Js frameworks have their place but they are heavily overused and that they are mostly symptoms of HTML ossifying as a language.
