I had a good discussion with a socialist friend of mine and realized the following: - socialist powerbrokers are the same as capitalist - the things i like most about the socialist movement: a social safety net, single payer health care, subsidized ambulances — are all secondary concerns or second order effects - there isn’t an American movement I’m aware of that fights for a better standard of living as a primary concern
