Actually, there’s still a possibility of survivor bias here. In the traditional internet, there aren’t many companies we even know about, unlike in the crypto world where issuing a coin at least gets some attention. Too many traditional ones just quietly die off.  
However, deliberately reaping a wave of profits does happen—not because of a lack of innovation, but because the pursuit was always about financial attributes. I’ve mentioned this in my article. Product and coin price have already been proven to have no direct correlation—like with usual—this is an issue of market-making in the crypto space.
