Daoist God series 

The San Qing Dao Zu (三清道祖) are not gods in the way the world understands.

They are the Three Pure Radiances of the Dao, beyond form, beyond name:

Yuanshi Tianzun (元始天尊): the Original Breath before beginning (middle). Presides over the birth of Heaven and Earth, and initiates the emanation of all realms and beings.

Lingbao Tianzun (靈寶天尊): the Sacred Pattern through which all arises (right) Oversees the regulation of cosmic patterns and the structure of time, cycles, and ritual law.

Daode Tianzun (道德天尊): the Living Way, made manifest through virtue (left) Manifests the Dao in the human realm to teach cultivation, harmony, and return.

They radiate with such peaceful power and authority.  I've read that in some Taoist lineages (more Neidan oriented) they are believed to reside within the body, at the 3 Dantian,  representing different stages of spiritual refinement and the transformation of Jing, Qi and Shen.
